Guest Writer Agreement

This Guest Writer Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made and entered between the independent author, hereafter referred to as “Guest Writer”, and Your Cup of Sea hereafter referred to as “Company”. The Company operates the Web site at yourcupofseas.com (the “Site”).

1. Information About These Terms 

 

1.1. These are the terms and conditions (Terms) which apply when you submit an article, essay or other pieces of writing (your Submission) for us to post on the website. By submitting writing, agree to these terms.

 

1.2. Please read these terms carefully before you make your submission to Your Cup of Sea.

 

1.3. We may change these terms at any time by amending this page. We may notify you by email if significant changes are made, but please check this page each time you make a submission to us as you will be agreeing to the terms in the form at the time you make your submission.

2. ​Your Submission

   

2.1. When you make your submission you may also include the following optional information:

 

2.1.1. Details of your personal blog, website or social media account(s).

2.1.2. A short author biography about yourself.

2.1.3. Additional author information.

 

 

3. Posting Your Submission

 

3.1. Once emailed to us, we will notify you we have received it. This does not automatically mean we agree to post it.

 

3.2. If we feel the piece of writing is negative in any way or contains content that is racist, sexist or homophobic, we will not post it on our website and you will be notified. 

 

3.3. We may make changes to your submission before posting it. If any changes are made, you will be notified before posting.

 

3.4. We may share, distribute and link to your submission on social media websites or any other third party website or platform at our discretion. 

 

3.5. If you wish to post the same submission on your website or blog account, you must contact us directly via email (yourcupofseas@gmail.com), Instagram, or via our “contact” page before doing so. 

 

3.6. We may decide to remove your submission from the website or remove or block links to or from your submission at any time. If we decide to remove your submission from the website we will notify you in writing via email that you provided when submitting your work and you may post your submission elsewhere after receiving this notification from us.

4. Copyright & Rights of the Author

 

4.1. You agree that the submission is your own work and any direct quotes/text are shown in a reference list at the bottom of the writing.

 

4.2. Any images or videos included in your submission must be royalty-free, or you have bought and/or asked permission from the owner of that image, displaying the owner’s name if requested by the owner of the image/video. 

 

4.3. Your Cup of Sea owns the full rights to your submission (text content), unless spoken to Darby Bonner (“Owner”) directly; if you wish to submit writing that is already posted on your website/blog, you must have agreed with Darby Bonner in writing prior to sending your submission to allow us to post it on our website, we will post it with a link to your personal website/blog in which the original writing can be found.
